- Our proposal, ``Exciting Polarons (ExPo)'' [representative: J. S. Moller], was accepted by the Danish Agency for Science, Technology and Innovation, and is among the International Network Programmes. This program supports our network activities between Danish and Japan. Masao Hirokawa took part in this project. In our ``ExPo'' some researchers of the Aarhus University team are to visit me to make a joint research on some mathematical aspects of phonon.

- Workshop ``Mathematics and Physics of Interacting Quantum Systems (MPIQS)'' was held (October 23 and 24, 2014: Kyushu Univ IMI., Fukuoka, Japan). Masao Hirokawa took part in MPIQS as one of the invited speakers.
- The new frontier research group on Quantum Information and Technology has been launched by the Japan Society of Applied Physics.
